HPV Vaccine

The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Center for Disease Control has now made the recommendation that girls AND boys get vaccinated against Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), the virus that causes cervical cancer and other issues.

This is a good, safe and effective vaccine and I am very happy that more boys and girls will be getting this vaccine. I have talked with many parents about the risks and benefits of this vaccine and I would love to dispel some of the myths or flat false information that you may have heard. Please see some of the references below or we can talk about it more at the next visit with your child.
